System Crasher lands in the German foster care system, where youth workers despair of finding a permanent home for her. A new therapist hires her, and she soon becomes a much-needed mentor.

Line of Separation

In the middle of a wartime movie marathon, try a new movie. Try Line of Separation, a three-part drama from Germany. It's available to stream on Hulu and Amazon Video, and its sweeping cinematography is breathtaking. Directed by Alexander Dierbach, the film takes us on a journey from 1960 to 1968, when three German towns are split in two by the Iron Curtain. This film is so intense and beautifully filmed that you may find yourself wishing you had experienced it in the theater.

As the film unfolds, Max McLaughlin, a detective from Brooklyn, is sent to Berlin to help train a makeshift police force. While there, he notices a child stealing a jacket. He is able to retrieve it by making them promise to hit a rock against an Allied bomb. But soon he realizes that the makeshift police force he's entrusted with is made up of mostly civilians and is armed with pipes.

The second film, "Antibodies," has the same plot as Color Me Blood Red, but is directed by a different director. In this film, Gabriel Engel, a pedophilic serial killer, kills 13 boys and makes religious paintings from their blood. The film employs the horror trope of a detective realizing that dark things are going on around him, and ultimately ends in his suicide.

Lommbock

In this comedic series, two friends (Kai and Stefan) are stuck in a small town. Kai has relationship problems, and Stefan is trying to reconnect with an old friend. Both are trying to get through a rough patch in their lives, but they also need to work through their differences and their pasts. This is the story of Lommbock. If you're curious about the German language, it's worth a try.

3 Turks & ein Baby

Three Turks & ein Baby is a hilarious comedy film starring a trio of brothers. Three Turks & an Baby is a remake of the classic Three Men and a Baby. The story follows three grown brothers who are tied together by the family business, a failing bridal shop. Starring Kostja Ullmann as the womanizer, the younger Turks are thrown together and inevitably end up in hot water.

Three brothers, Celal and Sami, live under the same roof, yet each have different dreams and ambitions. Celal pines for his ex-girlfriend Anna while Sami seeks true love. In addition, Mesut is trying to balance a successful music career with strict adherence to Koran. In the process, the brothers learn about their responsibility and become closer than ever. If you haven't watched the film yet, there's still plenty of time to catch up with it.

Der Untergang

Downfall is a 2004 German-Austrian-Italian war drama. It was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and produced by Bernd Eichinger. Set during the Battle of Berlin, the movie portrays the final days of Adolf Hitler. The cast includes Bruno Ganz, Corinna Harfouch, Heino Ferch, Juliane Kohler, Christian Berkel, and Thomas Schell.

You Are Wanted

You Are Wanted on Hulu is a thriller that addresses the threat of cyber attacks. The series follows a young man who is targeted because his personal data was hacked and he is posing as a global Eco-terrorist. It premiered on 2017-03-17. The drama series was created by Richard Kropf and produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Germany. It will be broadcast on Hulu on May 18.

Das Boot

You can now watch Wolfgang Petersen's wartime drama Das Boot on Hulu. This film was based on a bestseller by Lothar-Gunther Buchheim and the Oscar-winning novel by Wolfgang Petersen. It is a historical drama that follows the life aboard a German submarine. While the film focuses on the underwater adventures of the crew, it also shows what life was like on land.

The series, produced by Bavaria Fiction, Sky Deutschland, and Sonar Entertainment, is currently airing on Hulu. The series premieres on June 17 and is an international acquisition. It picks up where Wolfgang Petersen's classic 1981 submarine film left off. Das Boot is rated R for violence and contains some sexual content.
