Despite the film's conventional elements, Bedlam's production design is based on paintings by Hogarth, giving it a truly authentic atmosphere.

Despite her enigmatic persona, Paulson is an outstanding actor at the top of her game. Her performances are nuanced and flawed, but she makes the antiheroine believable. It is a definite must-watch.
A notable achievement for the actors in the show is the inclusion of puppets in the first episode. The children's puppet show, which depicts traumatic events in Ratched's early life, is a major trigger for the character. These moments add another layer of complexity to the story. But, unfortunately, the show ends on a sour note. We hope the series returns at some point. After all, it is one of the few series that follow the formula of three seasons.
